I love swimming – and when I make a plan to swim on a given day, I try my best to do it.
For example, if currently Friday is a swimming day for me. So when it hits Friday, I get my swimming trunks, googles and hop on for a good swim.
But I can only swim in the evening, as in the morning I get to do the work – 9 to 5 one. It has made possible for me to live a comfortable life and given me the opportunity to swim, so gotta do that.
As the day progresses, there comes many days where there will be interruptions. Sometimes the work gets too much or it starts to rain.
So you get 2 choices – swim or let go. What would you choose?
I wait for the dust to settle, the problem to go away and adjust along the way. Always trying to keep my swimming schedule in mind. It takes longer but most of the days I get to it.
Last week, there happened a situation wherein my friend insisted to swim together. But his work won’t get finished until 2 more hours.
I did the waiting. For 2 hours and then did the swimming and went home late.
I did this because there was no emergency at home or other work which needed my attention. If I went home early, I was anyway going to watch some cat videos.
So I stayed and competed my swimming. Even if there was some work for me at home, I would have excused my friend and went swimming. As long as he didn’t needed me superb urgent.
So you got to do your priority things right, do the wait if you need to. But ultimately go get swimming.
