You have a limited amount of energy – you can’t have more than your calorie content. And that is why you need to refuel yourself when you are down. Swimming is a demanding sport – it asks you to give your 100 percent and still you are supposed to give more.
Exhausting it is. And upon that you possibly can’t swim more than 2 laps with all your energy when you are 2 to 3 months in the game.
So, how to do more?
More of laps, less tiring and feeling awesome after the swim. At this point it seems only some kind of magic can save you. But fear not, let’s get back to the basic and understand the details.
The False Premise
Our body is capable of much greater things than you can imagine. But it takes time or a situation of danger. If you find yourself in immediate danger then the adrenaline can help you do enormous things. Also, if you practice and push at every step – then the sky is the limit.
So it is okay if you falter and fail in the beginning – because that is supposed to happen.
But if you push, stick to it then slowly your body becomes more capable – of doing laps. And the stamina to not get tired in the initial laps is developed too. Hence, there is no magic formula which will help you. Just the sheer practice which you need to do daily. So get on it. See you on the other side of the upgraded stamina. I know you can do it.
