Whenever you add one skill to your portfolio – you become closer to being the top 1%. For example, if you are the best Piano player then you would become the top 1%. But chances of you being the best is rare. So you can try to become good at piano, swimming, marathon – with all these combination you can be at the top 1% of people with these skills.
Cool, isn’t it. Well it is nice to consider yourself to be in top 1%. But that wasn’t my sole motivation to learning swimming.
Dancing, swimming, skateboarding are all cool skills to have. And if you can do that – then you may go and do the sport for exercising or fun. It is a great addition to your leisure lifestyle.
Now, when I want feel stressed – I can go running, exercising or swimming. It is all possible because I can do it, else I would have only 2 options.
The Constant Quest
Imagine if you get a new superpower to own the world – become relaxed and spread like a wildfire. Yes, you could do everything and more – if you learn a new skill. It can be swimming – which is like next best thing to flying or any other thing.
The ability to do something which not everyone can do is amazing. And swimming is an essential skill set to have – because more than 70% of the Earth is covered and in water.
Most people are able to only travel in land, with swimming you can explore the ability to traverse in water too.
Progress ModeSometimes life can become stagnant pretty quick – you do the same job each day. And the repetitive nature might get you. You will feel the tension to do something about it.
And that’s how many people start their passion projects – like this blog of mine. It’s all right – but having something to do physically is an asset or value. It can be anything – playing basketball, running or in our case – swimming.
Everyday I used to get the burden of doing the boring things – usually I would wait till the weekend for my passion projects. But once I started swimming daily – it changed my life.
When you have to do some creative input – there might come some excuses like tired or not feeling well. But in swimming you can simply go and float and feel energised.
It gave me something to look forward to and I can’t be more glad. I hope you find your level up skill – how about try swimming.
